一、Curricular Character:
Engineering drawing is a required technical course
to students whose specialty is not machinery, it is basic exercises
to train their synthesize diathesis that includes visualizing in
three dimensions and thinking, the formative design along with body
expressive theory and methods. Furthermore it also refers to the
fundamentals、the national standards and brushworks of machinery
drawing. It pays an important act on building innovative thought.
二、Curricular Goal and Assignment:
The curricular goal is to cultivate the abilities of
visualizing in three dimensions and expression, elementary reading
and drawing simple engineering drawings, knowing one kind of CAD
software to make simple 2D drawings.
三The curricular assignment are as follows:
1.Familiarizing the fundamentals of orthographic projection
and knowing about the ranges and foregrounds of its application;
2.Cultivating the abilities of space thinking and solid
expression;
3.Training the elementary abilities of drawing and
reading machinery draft;
4.Training the ability of using CAD software to make
simple drawings.
3 、The Requests and Contents of the Course:
This course is composed of three parts that include
the theory of projection, basic Design of Cartography and engineering
drawing. Computer drawing is introduced at a right
time.
The contents and Requests are as follows:
In exordium, the request is knowing about the history
,status, characteristics、assignment、the late development and learning
methods.
(一)The theory and application of orthographic projection:
1. Fundamental knowledge of orthographic projection.
Knowing about the basic method and theory on expressing
space geometric solid by means of projection.
Knowing about the fundamental concepts and sorts of
projection (parallel projection and center projection )
2. the projections of point, line, plan and solid
Mastering the projection characteristics and drawing
methods of points, lines and planes located at different positions
in first corner.
3.the special cases of relative position between line
to line 、plane to plane and line to plane;
Grasping the projection characteristics and drawing
methods of points at line or points and lines on plane.
4.Solid Projection
Grasping the projection characteristics and drawing
method of solid.
Analyzing the characteristics and drawing method of
the intersectant line of simple geometric solids.
Mastering using CAD software (such as AutoCAD) to make
3D drawings of basic solid and the intersection of more than two
basic solids.
5.Axonometric drawing
Setting up the conception of the axonometric projection
and knowing about geometric meaning of axial coefficient of foreshortening
and angle between the axonometric axes;
Grasping the basic method of making isometric drawings.
Introducing the means of making 3D drawings by computer.
(二)Fundamentals of Drawing:
Cultivating elementary ability of drawing by instruments,
by freehand or by computer, that includes:
1.How to right use drawing instruments and how to make
geometric figures by instruments or by freehand and connect arcs
exactly;
2.How to make and dimension plane figures by CAD software;
3.How to follow the national standard of <mechanical
drawing>;
4.How to make and read and dimension drawings of simple
solids of geometric combination by means of body analyzing and line-plane
analyzing.
5.How to grasp the principle expressions of works and
how to select and read views by national standard.
(三)Mechanical drawings or other engineering drawings:
Cultivating the elementary ability of reading mechanical
drawings and other engineering drawings.
1.Knowing about contents of detail drawings of parts,
right reading and making simple detail drawings (more than 2 views),
and identifying technical requirements such as the dimension tolerance
and the surface roughness and so on.
2.Standard accessory and common accessory
Knowing about the conventional representations of screw
thread、common screw fastenings and connecting accessories, and the
conventional representations of spur gear and mating gears .
3. Other engineering drawing :
Knowing about basic knowledge of electronic drawing,
electric drawing, architectural drawing, outspreaded drawing, jointing
drawing, pipeline drawing etc. Understanding drawing symbols and
the correlative representations.
Being able to read correlative and simple technical
drawing.
Being able to make simple engineering drawing by computer.
四 、Notice
It is advised to take 40-60 periods to lesson-teach
(including 6-10 periods of computer drawing),10 periods to operate
computer (including 4 of arc connecting and dimension ,2 of solid
and solid intersection,4 of three dimension sculpting, 10 of detail
drawing and assembly drawing),20 periods to draw by freehand or
by instrument(including instrument drawing ,freehand drawing ,solid
combination design and accessory mapping)
Written examination is for the course theory ,checking
and grading is for drawing.
